Save the Dates!

The SWEP Capitol Chapter Events Committee is pleased to inform you that we are in the process of planning three (3) upcoming events.  Please save the dates for these events, as additional information and registration is forthcoming. 

August 31st – Lunch and Learn – LEED v4 & Beyond, See post directly below for details!

September 15th – Weekend Tour of Dickinson’s College HIVE focusing on pollinator promotion and honey collection, Details on time will be circulated shortly. Event will be open to families and will include a time for a brown bag lunch. 

November 1st – Annual DEP Regulatory Update at PA DEP South Central Regional Office, agenda and details will be forthcoming.

“LEED v4 & Beyond: An Overview of GBCI Sustainability Programs”

Presented by: Heidi Kunka, Director of US Green Building Council Central Pennsylvania

The Green Business Certification Institute now manages multiple sustainability programs in addition to LEED. This presentation will provide an overview of:

  • The newest version of LEED (v4 & v4.1 beta)
  • TRUE Zero Waste Rating System
  • Arc Online Platform for Energy, Waste, Water, Transportation & Human Experience
  • SITES Rating System for Sustainable Landscapes
  • PEER certification for Resilient & Sustainable Electricity Infrastructure
  • Parksmart Rating System for Sustainable Parking Garages

2017 SWEP Capital Chapter’s PA DEP Regulatory Update Seminar

REGISTRATION is NOW OPEN for SWEP Capital Chapter’s Pennsylvania DEP Annual Regulatory Update Seminar which will be held on Thursday, November 2. Registration begins at 8 AM, with the first speaker beginning at 8:30 AM.  The program adjourns at 3:30 PM.  Detailed Program will be shared soon, but see below for the sneak peek at the Draft Agenda:

Continuing Education:   SWEP is pleased to offer four (4) Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for participants that attend the full session related to Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Please let us know upon registration if you will need a PDH certificate and the time that you plan to attend.

SWEP is also applying for eligibility of Legal Continuing Education Credits.  If you are interested in this, please let us know upon registration and we will notify you once the event has been verified as being eligible.
